Our Base

We are based at the PlayCity karting track in Yerevan, Armenia. It is the only open-air karting track in the city. The track is approximately 1 kilometer long and is equipped with professional stadium-wide flood lighting for night races and endurance series.

Track Layout

Grand Prix track configuration

17 Corners: The complete circuit using every available section. It is the longest and most demanding layout, combining fast sweepers, tight hairpins, rapid direction changes, and multiple heavy-braking zones.

Our Journey

2022

The Starting Line

Our story began in 2022, when a karting school was established at the PlayCity track in Yerevan. The outdoor, floodlit circuit — approximately one kilometre in length — became the foundation for regular training, driver development and a more structured approach to karting in Armenia.
2023

From Karting School to Racing Academy

In June 2023, the Automobile Federation of Armenia publicly introduced a newly created karting academy, developed by Armenian racing driver Artur Goroyan together with experienced coaches and designed for participants of different ages and experience levels. Goroyan Racing Team launched a large-scale driver-selection and development project based on the school — six finalists progressed through it and earned the opportunity to compete in the Dubai Kartdrome 24-hour endurance race, where GRT Armenia placed third in the Corporate category — an early international podium finish.

That initiative became the foundation for Noor Racing, established to continue developing motorsport in Armenia.

2024

The First Team Endurance Championship

Noor Racing organized what it presented as Armenia's first team karting endurance championship at PlayCity: the inaugural Noor Racing Karting Team Cup, a three-round series that introduced organized team racing, endurance strategy, driver changes and full-season championship competition to karting in Armenia.
October 2024

Armenia's FIA Motorsport Games Debut

From 23 to 27 October 2024, Armenia participated in the FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia for the first time. Noor Racing's channels reported the participation of its athletes as part of the Armenian national motorsport delegation — an important step in connecting Armenia's developing karting and sim-racing community with one of the FIA's largest international multidisciplinary competitions.
November–December 2024

Expanding into Sim Racing

Noor Racing extended its development platform into virtual motorsport with the Noor Racing Intro Cup, held from 10 November to 8 December 2024. The iRacing-based competition brought together 30 drivers from different countries, including 14 competitors representing Armenia, creating an accessible link between sim racing, racecraft education and real-world motorsport development.
December 2024

Returning to the Dubai 24 Hours

On 14–15 December 2024, the team returned to the Dubai Kartdrome 24-hour endurance event as Noor Racing by GRT, officially representing Armenia in the Nations Cup classification — proof that the original 2023 project had become a continuing international program rather than a one-time appearance.
2025

Armenia Joins the Sodi World Series

Beginning in 2025, PlayCity became an officially registered Sodi World Series (SWS) venue, bringing Armenian races into one of the world's largest international rental-karting ranking systems. The season-opening event on 29 March 2025 was the first race in Armenia held within the SWS framework, allowing local drivers to earn internationally recognized SWS points while racing at their home circuit.
2025

A Complete National Racing Calendar

The 2025 season transformed Noor Racing from an organizer of individual events into a year-round competition platform. Together with the Automobile Federation of Armenia and within SWS regulations, the calendar included:

  • FAA Senior Cup
  • FAA Junior Cup
  • Endurance Championship
  • Strongman Series
  • Season-opening and season-closing events
August 2025

The First Pan-Armenian Race

From 1 to 3 August 2025, Noor Racing organized the first Pan-Armenian Race at PlayCity — an international meeting point for Armenian drivers from Armenia and the diaspora. It combined sprint qualifying races with a 75-minute endurance final and a field capacity of 48 competitors. Alex Sargsyan became the inaugural Pan-Armenian Race champion, and the event expanded Noor Racing's purpose beyond conventional championship racing, using motorsport to connect Armenian drivers and communities from different countries around a shared national racing platform.
March 2026

Racing Beyond Armenia

On 28–29 March 2026, Noor Racing competed in the Georgian Kart Masters. Armenia was represented by four Noor Racing drivers — for three of them it was their first competitive race outside the club's domestic program, while the fourth driver secured second place. The event marked another step toward regular regional competition and gave developing Armenian drivers experience on a different circuit against a new field of competitors.
April 2026

New Competition Pathways

The 2026 season introduced the Noor Racing IronKart Championship, running from April through October as both a domestic competition and a driver-development pathway, with the leading drivers offered an opportunity to form a team for the Dubai 24-hour race. The calendar also expanded with the FAA Women Sprint Cup, whose first 2026 round was held on 26 April, creating a dedicated competitive format for women in Armenian karting.
May 2026

Armenia's First 11-Hour Karting Race

On 9 May 2026, Noor Racing organized what it described as the first 11-hour endurance karting race in Armenia. The event brought together 12 teams for a full-day contest combining pace, reliability, driver rotation, pit strategy and teamwork — a major increase in scale from the shorter endurance formats previously held at PlayCity, and one of the longest organized karting competitions in Armenian motorsport history.
What's Next

A New Stage

The karting division is separating from Noor Racing and will continue as an independent team, GRT Karting, with further developments to be revealed soon. Noor Racing is moving forward and developing new areas of motorsport.
